For the first prototype, I wanted to play with how light can interact with objects of different opacities. Glass etching and snow globes are a common household keepsakes. Since my friends and I have been obsessed with ceiling projectors, I have been wondering if these moving projections could present a narrative. It could almost be like a rotating shadow puppet show! The three items I tested were a glass globe, mini globe souvenir from Alaska, and a stick handle pom pom.
The next thing I played around with was shaving my dog, Honey. She is a Bichon Frise and Poodle mix that needs regular cuts every few months. I thought it would be interesting to explore self-expression through haircuts for dogs. Since she is a very high maintenance dog that loves to be pampered, I thought it would be interesting to give her a look that represents that posh stereotype.
I left her like this for 3 days before my mom made me shave her clean. We got Honey a stroller because she loves going out, but she is too lazy to finish her walk. Wheeling her around the neighborhood in this hairdo would make us look a little crazy!
